Contracts Manager (regional IT services deal management)

Our client delivers both professional and managed services multi million dollar deals that span across many countries.
 
Provide management of contracts in support of business objectives and business growth. The role provides for the delivery of assigned contracts, manages & monitors the commercial requirements on behalf of our client and helps insure contract adherence/delivery. This role may be focused on pre-sales or post-sales activities, or both, depending or organisational requirements.  
It is a independent contributor role
It reports to a Snr Director for commercial and contracts management within LOB sitting in US.
 
Scope
 
Post sales contract management
- Help identify, assess and manage contractual risk as part of the project team;
- Support the identification and documentation of potential contractual breaches / exceptions by either our client or their customers and address with the project team to mitigate risk;
- Assist project teams, account teams, billing and relevant parties to support correct invoices for all services;
- Key link to Billing & Finance to produce ad hoc one off invoices via billing process;
- Support the project team to work within the requirements, terms and conditions of the contract to meet contractual obligations and commitments - both on behalf of our client and their customers;
- Coordinate responses to change notices, with impact on cost and time and terms and conditions;
- Support the negotiation of changes and disputes and keep contract documentation up-to-date as a result. 
 
Pre-sales  (Secondary)
- Be the main contractual interface to customers;
- Prepare contract documents for legal review or support preparation of contractual documents, depending on the complexity of the deal;
- Review, understand and manage customer contract(s);
- Support the bid team to work within the requirements, terms and conditions of the contract to meet contractual obligations and commitments - both on behalf of our client and their customers;
- Support the resolution of issues linked to contractual / process issues;
- Help identify, assess and manage contractual risk as part of the bid team.
 
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or legal fields. 
 - 8 years + business experience, including at least 5 in a global telecommunications or IT environment.
- Experience in managing, structuring, positioning and negotiating contracts.
- Experience in managing and documenting contract compliance an international commercial environment.
- Ability to manage, qualify, develop and structure contractual terms and conditions for IT services and integrated solutions.
- Contribution to customer negotiations of terms and conditions for IT services and integrated solutions.
- Technical knowledge of IT, Integrated Services and Applications, managed network products and overall portfolio.
- Good understanding of the financial implications of contract terms and conditions and impact on revenue and profit.
- Excellent contract management skills.
- Understanding of the impact of different legal environments on contract management.
- Ability to work with staff and clients across a number of geographies and cultures.
