Solutions Consultant, APAC (telco software)

Job Profile
o Understanding & scoping Mobile Operator clients’ technical requirements & business processes
o Building competence in our client's solutions to execute technological and business discussions with Mobile Operator clients.
o Prepare and perform consultative solution presentations and workshops
o Prepare solution architecture and RFP responses in assigned cases
o Well documented handover to Post Sales delivery team including well qualified Statement of Work, Bill of Quantities & Reference Architecture
o Work with assigned sales managers to create awareness for our client's products targeting existing & new customers and partners, aiming to generate new leads and opportunities.
o Work with the APAC Sales and Pre-Sales team to achieve set order and revenue targets

Requirements
o 3 - 5 years relevant working experience, familiar with mobile middleware solutions and vendors
o Good knowledge of Mobile Operator VAS / content arena
o Systems analyst experience; participated in at least one complete design and delivery lifecycle including composition of functional & technical specification documentation for implementation team
o Previous hands-on experience with Java J2SE and J2EE (Servlets/JSP), UNIX (including shell scripts), Database software (Oracle, mySQL, MS-SQL)
o Previous experience in design of use cases, call flows using Visio / Rational.
o IP networking concepts

A background in the following areas will be advantageous:
o Pre-sales consultancy in the Mobile Operator domain
o RFI/RFQ response experience
o Platform dimensioning experience
o Presentations to Senior Management (both clients & in-organization)

o Advanced experience with Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint is required
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT
o Excellent command of the English language is a must
o Knowledge of regional languages (Bahasa Melayu, Thai, Mandarin) is an added advantage
o Creative, with strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Delivers high quality work and meets deadlines for both internal and external clients
o Capable of working independently & in teams; must be comfortable working in unstructured situations and solving non-standard problems
o Possess a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, drive, dependability and interpersonal skills
o Ability to travel in the region to support assigned cases
