Regional Project Manager (banking customer, telco)

ROLE PURPOSE  
 
The role of the Project Manager is to manage and lead the project team, providing support and guidance to effectively deliver the services to our customers.  The Project Manager will play a senior role in respect of one or more of the customers for whom he/she will be responsible for.  
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES  
 
Role  
1.  Accountable for consistent definition/planning/implementation of projects within time/scope/budget; using standard project management tools and procedures  
2.  Deliver the technical solution into the client environment by providing professional project leadership/direction/control  
 
Responsibilities  
3.  Project definition/planning/implementation management of the technical solution within planned timescales/scope/budget through a multi-cultural & multi-disciplinary virtual team  
4.  Use standard project management tools and procedures to deliver consistent and high quality projects  
5.  Primary interface with the client and account teams for the project  
6.  Manage client expectation throughout the project lifecycle  
7.  Obtain the required resources from (internal/external) to complete the project  
8.  Financial Management during the project to ensure timely use of project budget  
9.  Handover to Service Operations the completed technical solution  
 
Key Requirements  
10.  Project management and complex implementation experience (6-10 years) within the telecommunications, networking and preferably Cisco environment global projects  
11.  Experienced in managing and delivering  projects in multinational environment  
12.  Proven experience in setting up the project team; identifying, selecting and appointing project resources to deliver the technical solution  
13.  Proven experience in setting and monitoring performance against project milestones  
14.  Strong focus on delivery and attention to detail  
15.  Good understanding of voice, IP and data products; and capabilities  
16.  Able to structure and prioritize work packages around client and project requirements  
17.  Able to simplify complex solutions and present to senior management and business leaders  
18.  Excellent written and verbal communication; and presentation skills
