Assistant Accountant

This position reports to Regional Finance Manager.
Job Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations, such as prepayment and accruals
· Perform bank reconciliations and prepare cash journals
· Reconcile inventory
· Prepare inventory revaluation & obsolescence provision journals
· Provide variance explanations and do forecasting on a monthly basis
· Prepare yearly budget
· Liaise with outsourced agent to calculate monthly payroll
· Liaise with auditors in tax matters and ensure audit and statutory compliance
· Create new vendor accounts
Requirements
· Diploma in accounting
· At least 2 - 3 years financial/management accounting experience, preferably in an MNC environment
· Oracle or SAP general ledger experience is preferred
· Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
· Good communication & analytical skills
· Possess excellent MS Excel skills
· Experience in using Outlook and PowerPoint
Salary up to S$4.2k
