Head of Strategic Purchasing,
Responsibilities
1.
Execute project related purchasing activities with the Europe and Asia based
team (a.o. SCM & Purchasing in global HQ in Germany, Ireland,
Guangzhou Rep. Office):
. Provide effective purchasing support in contract details, project details within given guidelines.. Support project and product related operations to meet quality, delivery, cost and business objectives.. Interface directly with other business units on monitoring of project/product progress and performance of manufacturers.. Participate and support in the release of supplier processes of new project.
2.
Execute the global Consumer Electronics (CE) procurement strategy –
supplier strategy (SCM, Risk Management, etc.) – covering a.o.:
. Make or buy guidelines for new products/projects. Supplier selection process. Supplier development process. Product warranty policy towards suppliers. Procurement planning in cooperation with CE manufacturers
3.
Manage and resolve project/product purchasing issues through engineering
analysis, process formulation and implementation in cooperation with the global Consumer
Electronics team and its supplier base.
4.
Actively contribute to strengthen global CE’s competence in purchasing related matters.
5.
Willingness to travel regularly (occasionally overseas) and at short notice.
6.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
.
Degree/Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business
Administration with 5 years of experience
.
Experience in the consumer electronic industry will be advantageous
.
Technical experience
.
Knowledge of JD Edward system
.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
.
Solid project management, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and
coordination skills
.
Good team player
