Senior Planner (SAP)
The Role:
This individual plans and coordinates the monthly production cycle, including monitoring the forecasted build plan and ensure timely delivery of products to customers and meet other KPIs such as cycle time, shipment & inventory turns.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and review daily WIP status and production output and flag-out production bottlenecks for immediate resolution.
Generate priority list for suppliers and follow through until shipment.
Drive supplier factory for on time delivery performance (FOTD) and Cycle Time Performance according to company policy for deployment.
Generate and follow-up on Purchase Order requests.
Perform semi-annual Inventory Audit, take proactive actions to minimize / eliminate discrepancies and prepare Inventory reports.
Attend or chair conference calls between supplier and internal customers across different time zones to respond to enquiries and to resolve issues.
Manage SAP transactions for RMA, quantity adjustments, lot scrapping and other required transactions. Manage B2B data with sub contractors & resolve issues in a timely manner.
Manage and control unique material inventory.
Perform Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) parameter management to improve system accuracy. Lead in utilizing systems such as APS, SAP to improve efficiency.
Plan, issue and monitor wafer, assembly and test releases based on product demand and stock level.
Coordinate product transfer to sub contractor and issuing Engineering Purchase Order.
Schedule & monitor customers’ orders. Take appropriate actions proactively to minimize delays and update schedules in SAP.
Participate in systems enhancement project such as SAP, Adexa as a domain expert.
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time.
Education and/or Experience:
A technical Diploma plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Semiconductor industry, specifically in the assembly and test operations, and with at least 2 years of experience in factory / production planning or production control. A Degree holder with reduced minimum requirement will be also considered.
Other Knowledge and Skills:
Hands-on experience in using the following systems:
Manufacturing Execution System a plus
Working knowledge in SAP or other ERP systems
Working knowledge of advanced planning & scheduling concepts & tools such as Adexa
