HR Specialist, Southeast Asia (Learning AND Development)

Immediate Supervisor : Human Resource Manager, Southeast Asia
Position Summary
Responsible for all learning and development, employee relations activities in Southeast
Asia. Partner with Asia Pacific, Corporate Learning and Development team to spearhead
initiatives and drive process improvement in Southeast Asia. Initiates and executes activities
in the region to enhance employee relations. May also be required to support staffing
activities.

Geographical Coverage: Southeast Asia
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Learning and Development
1. Development of Training Plan for the region which includes designing of training
roadmap, training needs analysis, annual training plan, etc.
2. Administration and registration of training activities including logistics arrangement and
submission of relevant grants.
3. Training reports which include monthly training report, individual training records.
4. Prepares training materials and delivers training programs.
5. Conduct post-training analysis and develop metrics to measure success of training
programs.
6. Ensure completion of mandatory Corporate training programs, i.e., Annual Ethics
Refresher training, Information Security Awareness training, etc.
Southeast Asia
POSITION DESCRIPTION
7. Focal point in the region for Corporate development programs like Virtual Learning
Center, GlobeSmart, Performance Management, 360 tool, etc.
8. Assist Human Resource Manager to initiate development programs for key talents.
9. Spearhead and administer on-boarding program which includes the design,
coordination, delivery and continuous enhancement of the program.
Performance Management
10. Ensure completion of mid-year and annual Performance and Development Review for
Southeast Asia.
11. Subject expert for SMART business and development goals and assist to coach
Managers / employees on setting of the goals.
12. Conduct annual audit on business / development goals and ensure increase in
percentage of SMART goals year-on-year.
Talent Management
13. Work with Human Resource Manager to design and implement Annual Talent Review
exercise for Southeast Asia.
14. Monitor key talents’ development plans and ensure successful execution of the plans.
15. Develop metrics to measure success of Talent Management program.
Employee Relations
16. Preparation of annual Recreation Plan for the region and ensure execution of the plan.
17. Responsible for employee communications activities including new staff and promotion
announcements, employee dialogue sessions, newsletter, intranet, etc.
Others
18. Provide support on staffing and other HR activities.
19. Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply
policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct,
Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000,
government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional
policies published on the Information Network.
20. Any other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor.

Requirements
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor Degree in Business / Human Resource or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a MNC environment.

1. Assertive and service-oriented.
2. Resource, meticulous and independent individual who is able to work within tight
deadlines.
3. Good interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
4. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
