Application Analyst/ Developer (dotnet, Manufacturing end-user)

As a member of the Enterprise Applications development team, this role is responsible for enhancing and supporting existing custom applications, and designing and developing new applications as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, build and test frontend and backend software solutions
• Maintain business value by providing a high level of support for existing applications
• Develop new application services to deliver new business value
• Work closely with other developers, business analysts and the support team
• Create and maintain documentation of technical solutions
• Action software build and release package processes within an ITIL framework
• Review software design plans and performance of code reviews
• Understand business processes and deliver solutions that align to organisational needs
• Providing technical support to business partners
• Developing quality assurance procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience with .NET(2.0- 4.6 and Core) , C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, Query, MS SQL Server/T-SQL, WCF, IIS, Windows Services, RESTful APIs, Web API and RFC
• Experience with using integration tool DTS or SSIS, source control management ideally VSS and GITHUB, monitoring tools preferably New Relic , Scaling .NET solutions particularly in AWS, VB.NET, AWS Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, AWS CodeCommit, AWS RDS, DynamoDB or other NoSQL database services
• Understanding RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and excellent T-SQL skills
• Experience with CDN, and performance concepts
• Experience with TDD & Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years in application development role
• Experience in delivering IT technical service and process in line with ITIL methodology
• Experience in delivering solutions in both waterfall and Agile development frameworks
