• enterprise IT experience including monitoring and tuning multi-tiered server infrastructures
• Experience working with cloud infrastructures
• systems architecture experience
• Be able to build and debug deployments with support from the developers
• Experience defining security strategies for end-to-end application infrastructure and hardening application infrastructure
• Experience in architecting distributed, highly available, high performance, scalable applications
• Have working knowledge of application server performance problems
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or comparable industry experience
• Experience designing and implementing mission critical Enterprise solutions, considering HA, DR and business continuity.
• Familiarity with load-balancing, dynamic DNS and other HA technologies
• Knowledge and work experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Xen, KVM and public cloud resources such as AWS or Rackspace Cloud is a plus
• Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
• Understanding of web services API security will be ideal
• Experience working in a SaaS environment or start up space is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving skills
