- Project engineering schedules and forecasts.
- Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
- Monthly project status reports and change orders.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
- Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
- Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project Clients.
- Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues.
- Installing, administration and configuring Unix (AIX, Solaris) and Linux (Red Hat).
- VIO servers and clients installation and configuration using HMC.
- Logical volume management, Unix and Linux.
- Cluster installation and configuration, IBM HACMP, Linux Cluster, Oracle Cluster.
- Good knowledge on NIC redundancy, NIC Bonding, Ether Channeling.
- Technical documentation.
- OS security hardening.
- Red hat Satellite server configuration.
- SAN storage
- Good knowledge in backup software, TSM, Netbackup.
Requirements
- Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Science, Business IT or other equivalent university degree.
- At least 3 years experience in System Administration and Technical implementation
- Experience in administration of Unix/Linux Servers (AIX, Solaris, Redhat)
- Must have good understanding of a services business in a high tech environment from a supplier, integrator or operator’s point of view.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and achievement oriented.
- Good analytical and problem skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and initiative.
