Position Details

• This role will see you working closely with business users in a variety of complex SAP BO work across all facets of the project lifecycle, from requirements analysis, solution design, through to development test and even support.
• The position is a part of the Business Intelligence Team, who are responsible for development and maintenance of corporate performance, strategic and tactical reports which are used at all levels of the organisation.
• The team is an integral part of the larger Enterprise Solutions Team working closely with the appropriate functional areas to provide high quality systems solutions and services to the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce, implement and maintain standard reporting templates and dashboards whilst ensuring information is presented in a consistent format across the project and organisation
• Support in Business Objects migration project
• Engage internal business stakeholders regarding requirements gathering, report design, testing and deployment of reporting tools
• Develop new and optimized reporting metrics and tools while maintaining existing reports for schedule quality, health and compliance
• Respond to incidents and problems through the development of technical solutions and processes in line with service level agreements and key performance indicators for Service Delivery
• Create/maintain appropriate documentation of technical solutions
• Monitor publication of periodical reports
• Administration of reporting platform which will include user administration, setting up security, platform maintenance
• Monitor the quality and accuracy of reports throughout the project

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Hands on experience of 3 - 5 years in Business Objects suite of tools
• Expert in Business Objects XI 3.1, Business Objects 4.x
• Expertin report writing tools like Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, Crystal Reports
• Expert in Business Objects administration
• Highly skilled in the communication of business data with a focus on UI/UX and intelligent dashboard design
• Development experience using SQL is required
• Experience in production support/BAU
• Working knowledge of change control processes and impacts
• A high degree of problem solving and technical skill is mandatory.
• Should be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks
• Involvement in a mixture of new application development, maintenance and technical support.

Ability to effectively liaise with internal customers at all levels within the organisation, and, in some cases, may be required to deal with external parties including development organisation and specialist consultants.
