Project Manager (Account Based)

The P&PM Project Manager works under the direction of an Account Cluster Lead/Account PMO Lead to work closely with multiple client interfaces and the wider internal organisation to ensure successful execution of projects under their management.
 
The Project Manager works closely with client interfaces within the Account/Cluster to:
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality project outcomes
  • Understand client’s goals and requirements and manages client’s expectations and dependencies.


Program & Project Management team is chartered to oversee infrastructure projects and initiatives that enable change to the client outsourced environment. Project Manager in this team works under the direction of an Account Cluster Lead/Account PMO Lead to work closely with multiple client interfaces and the wider internal organisation to ensure successful execution of projects under their management.

 

 
Main Responsibilities of Position:

  • Lead a team to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, while satisfying customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project.
  • Responsible for the appropriateness, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of the project.
  • Manages the production of project estimates and the project schedule.
  • Establishes tracking measures and milestones, tracks ongoing project progress and controls the budget.
  • Maintains an awareness of changing business needs and external influences, and recognizes their potential impact on project goals.
  • Assembles project teams, selects and negotiates with subcontractors, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate project resources, and provides guidance and direction to project team members.
  • Directs and motivates the project team, and establishes an effective climate for achieving positive working relations with other stakeholders (e.g., customers, subcontractors, and internal management).
  • Proactively manages risks, issues, budgets, and scope throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Prepares/presents project plans & status reports to organizational leadership, project teams and client/customer groups.
  • Oversees and is responsible for IWOs, facility and hardware contracts, the accuracy of customer invoices, subcontractor invoice verification, and account receivable collections.
  • Conduct status review of projects managed with Account Cluster Lead/Account PMO Lead on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
  • Participate in mini project reviews with Account Cluster Lead/Account PMO Lead.
  • Participate in reviews of projects classified as being in “Red” or “Yellow” status.
  • Ensure all required projects are registered in the PERFORMA system and that data in PERFORMA is complete and accurate.

Main Authorities of Position:
  • Represents the project and project requirements within the boundaries of projects managed.
  • Allocates project work and project responsibilities within the boundaries of projects managed.
  • Assigns project issues for resolution for projects managed.
  • Initiates a project review with management and project sponsors when it is deemed that project budgets and/or schedules are in risk of being missed.
