QA Engineer (software web testing)

Our client is a global software product organisation with a R&D centre here in Singapore and Shanghai

Requirements (Technical skills):

. BS (or better) in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent

. Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in testing web applications and web services

. Familiar with load testing tools such as Load Runner, Selenium, SOAP UI

. Familiarity with unit testing frame works such as JUnit, NUnit

. Familiarity with Web Protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST and XML API's

. Familiarity with application server such as WebLogic, JBoss

. Experience in trouble shooting complex server environments

. Experience in software development methodologies and life cycle

Desirable knowledge / skills:

. Knowledge of J2EE technologies and .NET

. Familiarity with JAX-RS, JAX-WS and AXIS

. Familiarity in working with multiple operating systems (Linux, OSX and Windows).

. Experience in scripting

. Experience in Web Portal testing

Qualitative skills:

. Passion for quality and attention to detail

. Ability to learn fast

. Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects

. Willingness to work extended hours as required to deliver projects

. Ability to work well in a team to deliver on team goals

. Keen interest in new technologies and their adoption

. Fluent oral and written communication skills in English language

. Proactive, Creative, Self-directed and require minimal supervision
