Role objectives The Regional HR Business Partner position is customer facing and aligned to specific geographical regions within the GPG Group: Singapore Therefore, the Regional HRBP is the primary point of contact in HR for all employees and people managers within their designated region. Regional HR Business Partners are accountable for supporting the delivery of HR services into their nominated regional areas and focus on advising managers in their people management. They are also the default manager of all employee relations matters within their region, in alignment with the Senior (Functional)HRBP). The Regional HRBPs also play an important role in ensuring compliance with local laws or employment customs, as well as management of key local stakeholders. For example, they own the relationship with government officials in the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore. Functional HRBPs and Regional HRBPs will typically engage in constant communication (daily or even more frequent if necessary)about what activities are happening in the areas they both support to ensure that there is clarity about how all tasks will be covered and to equally ensure there is no duplication of effort. Duties & Responsibilities Primary point of contact in HR for all employees and managers within their designated region – there is no specific functional alignment. Support Senior Functional HRBP in the people activity in the local area, to ensure compliance with local laws/norms and to cover face-to-face contact with managers and employees as relevant Managing the coordination of admin activities associated with joiners, movers, leavers with HR Operations, payroll and where applicable MoM. Manage and advise on employee issues, e.g. underperformance, disciplinaries, legal claims Manage leaves of absence (sickness, family leave, sabbatical) in collaboration with HR Operations Manage exit interviews, attrition trend analysis and identify and implement related improvement actions Maintain local employment policies, although ensure they align to the wider Group approach Skills & Competencies Pragmatic in achieving results Good judgement of commercial solutions for the business Strong self-leadership skills High emotional intelligence Cultural sensitivity Strong influencing skills Strong customer-service and stakeholder management ethos Ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships within HR and the wider business Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Confidence in advising managers on sensitive matters without the opportunity to prepare in advance Ability to cope in a fast pace of change and in peak periods of workload Ability to mediate different points of view Ability to identify new and better ways of doing things, both directly and through others Excellent Microsoft Office skills Experience Experience of supporting and advisingmanagers in an HR Business Partnering capacity across a full generalist remit Previous experience in business functions or other HR disciplines is desirable, but not essential Proven track record in employeerelations is desirable Experience of working in a matrixenvironment and with a multicultural workforce is desirable Experience in the energy industry or in a tradingenvironment is desirable, with a professional workforce is essential Education Degree level education, preferably in a Human Resources discipline (or equivalent experience).
