Senior HR Manager - APAC Region at PREQIN PTE. Role Overview The VP HR/Senior HR Manager is a new role for the APAC region. The focus for the role will be delivering efficient HR Operations and supporting the growth of the business by driving employee and talent management to create 'a great place to work’ and high-performance culture. This role will have a big impact on the APAC region by being a 'hands-on’ operational professional, an advocate, change leader, and champion for inspiring achievement in our employee teams. This new standalone role will manage operational HR and implement strategic projects around talent acquisition and talent development through the APAC region. You will partner with key stakeholders across the locations in the region, leaders in APAC and our global HR specialists to put in place, recruitment campaigns and training and development that engages, motivates, coaches and supports. Key areas of focus will be in recruiting to our strategic resource plan and the implementation of performance management software and processes. The delivery of a programme of management training and supporting change management initiatives for automation and high performance. You will work closely with our global HR team in London and local leaders to develop, review and manage programs and initiatives that attracts, motivates and retains employees with opportunities for growth and development. Job Responsibilities Carrying out HR Operations to support new joiners, leavers and career moves. Running HR administration and HR operations and administration processes. Recruiting and retaining the 'best-fit’ talent in the region across mainly data/sales/product and marketing roles. Handling employment issues in the region. Helping managers to achieve the best outcome for any HR issues ensuring a fair and equitable disciplinary and grievance process. Being good counsel to managers in the region. Ensuring company policies reflect the Preqin culture and the adhere to local employment law. Handling S-pass and E-pass and visa processes. Working with the Global Payroll and HR Administration manager to ensure we have efficient payroll processes, inputting payroll changes and communicating monthly payroll changes to our payroll bureau. Issuing salary letters on promotion or after salary reviews. Working with the VP of Global Talent Development to to roll-out and embed a performance management system; coaching managers in goal setting and performance management and performance improvement through the region. Working with the VP of Global Talent Development to developing great team leaders and managers through coaching and mentoring and implementing a management training programme in the region. Driving a coaching culture for high performance. Working with the APAC Regional Management Team to provide strategic Learning and upskilling opportunities. Improving employee retention and developing our teams alongside rapid digital transformation. Ensuring the excellent benefits that we offer are valued, including renewing our annual health insurance. The First Few Months In Role Onboarding and familiarisation with current processes. Building successful relationships across the organization and developing a detailed understanding of business needs. Recruiting in the region against our talent acquisition plan and in collaboration with our Global Recruitment Manager, VP of Talent Acquisition. Rolling out and embedding a new performance management system in collaboration with our Global Training Manager, VP of Talent Development. Contributing to career pathing/career development frameworks. Developing new manager onboarding and implementing management training in collaboration with our Global Training Manager, VP of Talent Development. Skill Requirements 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in HR ideally in a standalone role for a small company, or as an HR Manager of a small team. Good knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and Labour Laws with an interest in becoming familiar with employment law in other countries in the APAC region. Any payroll experience would be an advantage. Experience working with an HR system would be an advantage. Ability to maintain effective relationships and to influence and collaborate is key. Attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Self-motivated, confident and collaborative. Ability to make good, sensible decisions and experience of advising managers on employee issues. Comfortable operating in a matrix structure with stakeholders and in a growth environment. Excellent analytical and written communication skills. Ability to speak mandarin an advantage.
