As the regional Director for Government Cyber Security Programs, APAC, your goal is to lead and deliver the strategic development and execution of comprehensive cyber security programs, in a partnership model, for key Government entities in the region (Southeast Asia, India, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan), for both national and agency level cyber-related mission support, protection, and defence capabilities. In addition, this role will also require you to engage our relevant government customers to inform, assess, and deliver multi-lateral, national, and inter- and intra-agency cyber security strategies, frameworks and policies within the cyber domain with a keen knowledge of geo-political and cultural influences. You represent FireEye’s regional cyber and government subject matter expertise in alignment with FireEye’s Global Government strategy. You will be the trusted adviser to specific national governments and/or government agencies regarding current cybersecurity capabilities, mission risks, and the cyber threat landscape. This role includes a commitment to a certain amount of regional travel with a proven ability to operate and deliver effectively and autonomously in a leadership capacity to coordinate deployed operational resources, to navigate challenging political environments and to draw a multi-skilled workforce together whilst maintaining a clear focus on strategic and project delivery models. You will work closely with Regional Sales leaders and account managers to understand their account mix and sales opportunities, identifying customer requirements and articulating our value and experience. You identify the capacity and capabilities needed for successful delivery and execution, working closely with our global practices in the allocation of delivery resources and building a regional team of program managers in line with the business growth. As one of our regional Government cyber security leaders you will also brief senior executives on threats to their environment, at sectorial, national, or regional level, based on FireEye and Mandiant’s wealth of threat intelligence. We encourage giving back to the community and strongly support sharing of expertise through authoring whitepapers and speaking at conferences. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, sound business acumen, consultative and current technical skills, and be adept in leading and overseeing multiple programs under tight deadlines. What You Will Do Develop the strategy and execute the delivery of regional and national government cybersecurity mission support outcomes via holistic and custom end-to-end solutions and offerings based on FireEye’s entire security platform Develop and implement regional and national government cyber security mission assurance and operational support capabilities Support and enable Mandiant Intelligence thought leadership in the APAC region. Assist with speaking and media opportunities, work with the account teams to enable and support intelligence led solutions and strategies for the region Serve as a regional intelligence subject matter expert. Serve as a strategic advisor to government clients seeking to enhance their security capabilities, mature their organisation, and plan for horizon influencers Develop and lead programs to deliver national, inter-agency and intra-agency cyber security related strategies, frameworks and policies for priority government customers Evaluate client needs and coordinate the development of strategic designs and implementations of macro cyber approaches for governments and clearly communicate the value proposition of those approaches based on personal experience and expertise Provide guidance on development of relevant strategic offerings, processes and procedures related to national government cyber strategy and policy tailored to the region; collaborate and integrate these offerings with the broader Global Government function as required; promote and build awareness of those government cyber policy activities internally and externally through various mediums (including training, forums, committees, whitepapers, blogs and webinars etc.) Assess the maturity level of client organizations against best practices and drive desired security program and architecture transformation Provide strategic guidance and trusted advisory services to assist in the development and execution of roadmaps for short and long-term security capabilities Intuitively and proactively understand client concerns and facilitates escalation to the appropriate resources to address and resolve each situation Operate as a client advocate to ensure all program and delivery issues are resolved and the client experience is enhanced Build and strengthen client and partnership relationships at multiple levels of the government Serve as a client advocate internally within Mandiant to provide the right contact points and solutions to assist in solving the client’s problems Develop and grow your business area using your expertise and relationship management skills in close partnership with your leadership team and the sales force as required for long term profitability Build and lead your team as required, displaying effective management and leadership skills while growing and mentoring your team members Qualifications Requirements: Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner whilst enabling a multi-disciplined workforce. Significant experience assessing and developing cyber security solutions and programs across multiple security domains including operational mission support Good understanding of cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, requirements development, operations, and products / services Ability to understand client’s current mission drivers, challenges, tactical and strategic direction and provide relevant cyber security solutions Demonstrable experience identifying mission risks and devising solutions to combat critical national infrastructure and public sector focused threats Significant experience advising clients on security programs such as incident response, mission support, cyber threat intelligence, security operations, data protection and security architecture Ability to perform and oversee program and project management functions including status reporting, staffing, and team building and development Experience in performing engagement enablement including scoping engagements, structuring customized engagements based on client’s request, proposal writing, and drafting statements of work Exceptional written and oral communications skills; proven experience articulating security and risk-related concepts to all audiences, including senior executives Proven ability to successfully interface and establish rapport with customers and internal stakeholders, at senior and executive levels Ability to use formal project management skills in planning, tracking, and reporting on project progress Ability to set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members Preferably employment history in government in the cyber and information security domains Extensive government experience in information security and leading international and national level cyber operations and delivery capabilities Experience with leading, developing and managing cyber security competencies, such as incident response programs, information security programs, threat intelligence, threat analysis, security assessments, security transformation, security validation, etc. Demonstrable business management experience (budgeting, OKR’s, KPI’s revenue, margin, risk, audits, etc.) Experience with writing and reviewing proposals and contracts Experience with international relations, public policy or national cyber program development Experience with Intelligence operations, coordination and capability development Thorough understanding of traditional security operations, event monitoring, and SIEM tools Understanding of critical tools used in security event analysis, incident response, computer forensics, malware analysis, or other areas of security operations Fundamental understanding of network protocols, packet flow, firewall technologies, proxy and endpoint threat detection technologies Understanding of security controls for common platforms and devices, including Windows, Unix, Linux, and network equipment. Additional Qualifications Degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline Current Security clearance or demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Minimum 10 years of relevant experience across cyber security domains Demonstrable experience in working with decision makers across government Willingness to travel for business, for 25-50% of the time Relevant cyber security and project management specific certifications such as CISSP and PMP are desirable.
