Specialist, Cyber Security Governance Metrics Resolution & Analytics at MSD

Key Responsibilities: Provides briefings at various levels of management regarding ongoing security incidents Actively manages and drives third party remediation efforts Proactively tracks major vulnerability or incident remediation activities Assures investments in our Company Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) generate business value, increase cybersecurity posture, and reduce overall IT risk Produces priority reports for high severity incidents, as well as divisional and regional reports showing metrics of the Cyber Fusion Center and other ITRMS divisions. As required, serves as cybersecurity advisor to corporate or business components that fall outside of the our Company Cyber Fusion Center during their incident Identifies and develops workflow automation to lower response time and eliminate lengthy procedures of the our Company Cyber Fusion Center during their incident Acts as a Cyber Fusion Center lead in the event of a critical incident if no management is present Looks after the physical cyber fusion center audio/video equipment Investigate incidents generated from our Data Loss Prevention Tools by using log management tools, packet captures reports, data visualization, and pattern analysis. Analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of critical information security incidents related to data leakage Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in a very agile and fast-moving information security environment Work closely with Global Security Group to deploy data loss prevention policies in the Japan China and Asia Pacific region Develop analytical dashboards for the local Cyber Fusion Center Establish working relationships with the local Data Science team for a future security and analytics program Qualifications: BA/BS or MA/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Systems or related experience Background in at least 1 of the following domains; security products and technologies; security engineering, networking protocols and data center; security analytics Project management skills and experience Ability to deep dive issues and maintain focus Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation and to learn and adapt quickly Experience working in a 24/7 “follow the sun” SOC environment (no over time work is required unless critical incidents) Data Loss Prevention Tools (including network, endpoint, and cloud based DLP tools) Knowledge of the current IT Data Protection landscape and upcoming trends Must be able to adapt and rapidly learn new technologies and must have some background in an information security related discipline. System administration on Windows, Unix or Linux Various general technical skills including knowledge of networking (i.e. TCP/IP) and security product experience Preferred : Experience in cybersecurity legal proceedings Familiarity in dealing with contracts, statements of work, etc. Maintains certification in privacy certifications (CPP) Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar) Our Support Functions deliver services and makes recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the experience of working at our organization.
