What You’ll Do Android Development Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design and ship new mobile products Build high quality Android applications by writing clean and modular code Write functional and unit tests to ensure Android applications' robustness and reliability Collaborate with Quality Assurance to enhance test automation across multiple devices Catalyze growth within the Team through thorough code reviews or pair programming Refactor generic features into common libraries for reuse across Android applications Improve reliability of Android applications through bug fixes Monitor Android applications' performance and tune accordingly for scalability Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new Android technologies to improve development efficiency or code base What You’ll Need You are passionate about software engineering and you learn fast You have strong CS fundamentals such as OOP and algorithms You care deeply about creating awesome UX/UI for users You are committed to receiving coaching and providing mentorship to others Deep experience in building Android apps and have published one or more Android apps Fluent in Java, Kotlin or Android Studio Deep understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines Deep understanding of standard Android design patterns and RESTful API design Experienced in implementing security frameworks in Mobile App either through using open source technology or products like VKey, Gemalto, etc. Experience working with Android libraries such as Retrofit, Leakcanary, ButterKnife etc. Familiar with the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies Experience in writing automated functional and unit tests for Android applications Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery systems (i.e. Jenkins) and setups Experience in at least one code repository system, preferably Git Familiar with Agile practices such as Extreme Programming, Scrum or Kanban Bonus + Experience in API development +++ Experience in Open Source development (Please provide GitHub profile and projects) Experience in at least one code repository system, preferably Git Familiar with Agile practices such as Extreme Programming, Scrum or Kanban We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
