Sephora South East Asia seeks to hire a Software Engineer for its Technology team. Sephora SEA’s technology team designs, builds and operates the technology eco-system that powers e-commerce across 9 different SEA markets. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver impactful products with tangible business value with an engineering team with strong culture and focus on technical excellence. This role will be with the ERP team which is responsible for the post-checkout part of the customer journey and owns applications such as Order Management System, Tracking Management System, Product Catalogue Management System and so on and you will be involved in design, build and maintenance of these systems essential to our E-commerce operations. You will also be given the opportunity to collaborate with various functions within the company, providing technical expertise in specifications discussions and design which impacts Sephora’s omni-channel experience. Responsibilities - Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for our technology solutions - Involve in roadmapping and change management for our existing systems - Optimize and re-architecture existing solutions for scalability and extensibility. - Design web services with optimal security and performance. - Design and build well thought out, fault tolerant, scalable data channels (e.g APIs) between different systems - Participate in deployment management, monitoring, technical troubleshooting and operational support - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess impact of decisions in each of the functional areas and facilitate proposal of recommendations. - Actively participate in team practices on Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration pipeline, peer reviews and general knowledge sharing Requirements - Strong skill sets with web technologies and prior experience with one of Ruby on Rails, NodeJS or GoLang and familiarity across the related tech stack (HTML, CSS, SQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Git, Caching layers) is preferred - Between 1-5 years of relevant work experience - Strong systems design skill sets - Familiarity with DevOps and some exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, monitoring and deployment practices - Strong problem solving and collaboration skills - Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate technical information, both written and oral, to technical and non-technical reviewers - Strong sense of responsibility and a good track record of managing and undertaking projects from end-to-end - Ability to ensure successful transition of solutions to operations prior to project closures (All personal data collected is for our recruitment purpose only) Show more
