Software Engineer ----Software Engineer Location: Singapore Job ID: 20WD38366 Position Overview Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join an agile development team responsible for building and scaling Autodesk Forge services. The Forge platform unlocks the functionality in Autodesk products that have been serving industries such as architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, and others. The ideal candidate should have proven experience building high quality, scalable cloud-based services using the latest technologies. As a member of a team, your first role will be to contribute to the development of Forge APIs which are the building blocks for next-generation design apps. Responsibilities Active member of a highly skilled and motivated agile development team Develop high-level designs and implement highly scalable web services Work closely with product design and product management to understand requirements Collaborate with software architects, product designers, product managers, test engineers and others to implement high-quality web services Work with your agile team to deliver solutions on time and at high quality that conform to user story acceptance criteria Excellent debugging skills, able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components Help release and maintain code and debug production issues Support product teams by guiding them on integration with core services and help troubleshoot problems Participate in code reviews to ensure new code confirms to highest standards Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers Minimum Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field 3+ years of Software Development Experience Very good experience with programming languages such as Java/.NET Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST Hands on knowledge of developing RESTful web services and integrating the same with heterogeneous clients Practical experience of building and consuming RESTful web services Experience in using AWS stack like SQS, S3 and DynamoDB Solid understanding of techniques to achieve high performance at web scale Practical experience with version control systems such as Git Solid understanding of software design and patterns Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems Experience with data stores such as Cassandra Experience with Docker platform will be a plus Experience leveraging or contributing to open source projects Excellent communication and written skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Agile/Scrum, continuous integration/delivery, and modern development practices Self-directed and require minimal supervision Passion for developing robust software and writing maintainable code Experience with Amazon Web Services About Autodesk With Autodesk software, you have the power to Make Anything.
