Senior Business Analyst at Chubb

Job Description

Job Purpose To support the achievement of company objectives through the provision of analysis and development of business solutions. To understand, analyse and develop ways in which Chubb's business processes can be improved for efficiency and/or effectiveness. Major Accountabilities This role has the following principal accountabilities: Provide business analytical and programming services to develop business solutions, reporting tools, prototypes and POCs Manage the business requirements by listing the information inputs required and escalating gaps and issues Identifying unique country-specific issues and developing solutions by way of changes needed to business processes or via tool functionality Conduct and oversee User Acceptance Testing on new and modified applications to ensure they meet the business requirements both functionally and technically Coordinate and manage the implementation of the tools in various branches and the wider APAC region Assist in developing the application training materials Assist in delivering the training to users Write detailed documentation of the tools to ensure maintenance support is facilitated on completion and handover Principle Activities Drive the process of defining Business Requirements leading onto Functional Specifications according to the understanding of business processes and user requirements Develop the applications and run rigorous testing Prepare test plans and co-ordinate the User Acceptance Testing phase of new/modified applications to ensure that Business Requirements are met with effectiveness and efficiency Upon completion of User Acceptance Testing, modify or develop User Documentation in liaison with business owners Provide training on new/ modified applications to users Knowledge and skills Essential Insurance products and systems Insurance underwriting and claims practices, including processes and methodologies Advanced programming skills using Visual Basic or other programming languages Advanced skills in SQL Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external stakeholders Ability to work with the business to interpret business requirements Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Experience with project management methodologies Ability to effectively prioritise overall workload and highlight to management inability to meet specific demands within desired timeframes Ability to understand the current and future business and technology environments A fast learner - skills of being a strategic thinker and a good listener Team player - willingness to provide and seek assistance, not afraid to ask questions and the desire to share and gain knowledge A lateral thinker in identifying and proposing solutions for improving efficiencies in application functionality and/or processes/practices where they can be aided by new or modified applications Ability to work with minimal supervision Desirable Skills in RPA (Robotics Process Automation) platforms Skills in Data Visualisation Tools such as QlikView and Qlik Sense Agile framework Education and experience Essential Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Information Technology, Commerce or related discipline Business Analyst experience Broad knowledge of information technology and related terminology Skills in standard software - Word, Excel, Outlook Show more
