Job Description

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for solutioning of all applications and technologies at the Group level. This entails working closely with the various business and support functions (eg. e-Commerce, supply chain, retail, finance, manufacturing, etc.) to understand processes and requirements, design and deliver solutions that drive rationalization, optimize efficiency, and ultimately digital transformation. He/she will need to have a strong grasp of both business processes and technical knowledge. The incumbent must be familiar with the current technological trends. This is a regional IT role that also entails working closely with other Business Analysts and IT teams on systems integration, security, governance, compliance and DRP/BCP. Business solutioning and delivery Understand the Company’s business priorities, requirements, structure and processes, in order to define scope for solutions and identify areas of improvement. Monitor and report project progress, and initiates corrective action, as appropriate, to ensure that deliverables are on time and within budget. Prepare solution design and technical documents. Application management and governance Identify and plan change management activities to implement approved new or alternative business processes. Provide support for corporate applications, minimizing outages and disruption to business operations. Provide adequate analysis and timely support to resolve system issues/bugs. Establish governance and processes to manage change requests. Facilitate periodic end user training as necessary. Vendor Management Ensure the quality of vendor support is maintained over time through regular vendor assessments and aluations. Manage vendors to ensure project deliverables are completed in timely manner. Skills, Knowledge And Relevant Experience At least 4 years of business analyst experience with a minimum of 2 project implementation cycle from beginning till end Experience with current customer-facing technologies and ERP would be an advantage Experience in multi-vendor management in an outsourced environment. Manage third-party developers to deliver customisation documentation with proper documentation Performs and conduct systems testing, user training & acceptance testing, and post mortem follow-up Customer-oriented with strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills. Experience in the retail or manufacturing industry is a plus. Experience in IT transformation and change management is an advantage. Able to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
