Support the GCCIO and Group Clinical Informatics (GOCI) in the development and implementation of medium to large-sized projects or work tracks of larger projects or programs in the Project Management Office. The project manager collaborates across IT partners and disciplines across the enterprise and NHG institutions to manage and deliver the systems, and governance processes that facilitate the optimal delivery of patient care and the conduct of research.


Be involved in programme management work areas including but not limited to conducting requirements analysis, functional testing, system implementation, end-user training and coordinating with appointed IT partners.

Engage internal/external stakeholders to understand business and system needs for NHG and Next Generation Electronic Medical Records (NGEMR) solutions.  

Assess various implementation ways (e.g. proof-of-concept, trial, sprints) to launch the NGEMR modules across institutions and encourage user adoption.

Track, monitor and report project status, deliverables, timeline and adoption status throughout the overall project process against committed goals.

Drive appointed vendors to deliver to committed milestones, service levels & established delivery KPIs. Oversee successful and timely completion of project milestones/deliverables.

Identify and highlight potential risks and issues that may impact the scope or result in delay or cost increase. Propose mitigation controls for the identified risks/issues.

Focus on delivery performance and facilitate continuous improvement in Service Delivery Management Processes including Service Level Requirements for any new / developing services. 

Other duties directed by GCCIO and the office of Group Clinical Informatics. 




(a) Education/Training/Experience

IT professionals who take an interest in informatics to enable support & improve healthcare.
Preferably a tertiary degree from a recognized university in IT.
Preferably 10-12 years of relevant working experience in a healthcare setting with healthcare informatics/ healthcare IT experience, with at least 3 years in a team management role.
Experience with IT project management and/or IT service operations.
PMP and/or ITIL certification will be advantageous.

Excellent organizational, people management and communication skills, with attention to details.
Ability to initiate, deliver and drive to complete projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively as an individual as well as in a team.
Ability to work on complex issues simultaneously.
