Job Description

Project Manager: Client's Global IT applications service has end to end accountability for the design, delivery and support of all business applications enabling Clients global commercial, operational and enterprise business process. Forming a large proportion of the IT Function, the team are arranged into investment areas including Owner Experience & Retail, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance & compliance and People and collaboration. The role Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for: General - Delivering value to Client's business through enhancing and developing key technology platforms. - Providing IT Delivery guidance and support to Business Stakeholders and Product Owners. - Managing a defined section of the Enhancement backlog where a higher development and delivery complexity, e.g. 3rd parties required to complete delivery of the Epic. - Managing demand in line with PMO resourcing processes and ensuring capacity requirements are raised and understood. - Managing resource availability with partners and practice leads in line with delivery lead times - Where required manage partner Purchase Order/Goods Receipt requirements in line with Client Finance processes - Work collaboratively to improve the efficiency and quality of output through our delivery processes - Supporting the Delivery Manager with Day to day tasks and status updates and KPIs - Providing E2E leadership across Scrum teams where your backlog items are being delivered. - Resolving problems and escalations on delivery commitments. - Ensuring delivery activities in line with Release and Service Management requirements. - Aligning Scrum deliverables with business objectives. 3rd party - Managing strategic partners and 3rd party practices to ensure SW development requirements are clearly communicated and understood. - Aligning and coordinating product owners and 3rd party development teams for backlogs, workloads and priorities. - Where Required - measure and facilitate routine service reviews for 3rd Party SW development team(s) throughput and performance against agreed KPIs. - Validating 3rd party estimates for development effort and managing escalations as required, removing blockers and provisioning resources for 3rd party development outcomes. - Building and maintaining strong working relationships with strategic partners and 3rd party vendors. - Aligning with Global IT support teams on requirements for 3rd party vendor support. - Aligning with and supporting IT Leadership and procurement teams on 3rd party contract re-negotiations (where required).
