Senior Engineer, Workload Automation ----Singtel are at the leading edge of technology development to improve the experience of our customers as they consume services across mobile, voice and data infrastructure, managed services, cloud computing, IT services and professional consulting. To support that journey we are searching for top talent and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer, Workload Automation to strengthen our team. As our Senior Engineer, Workload Automation you will have the opportunity to lead our operational out sourcing support of Control-M as the scheduling tool in Singtel, Optus and NCS batch environments to ensure quality solutions are implemented and robust processes are in place. You will define the Workload Automation Platform strategy and policy for Group IT (GIT) regionally, ensuring quality solutions are implemented for all scheduling support initiatives. You will maintain and improve the efficiency, operational effectiveness, availability (including Disaster Recovery capability), performance, security and reliability of Control-M on Work Load Automation within Service Levels. Effective communication and liaison with management, out-source vendor and peers, both within and outside the team will be essential for success as you will provide periodical assessment of the services and propose continuous service improvement whilst also managing day to day operations and oversee governance for Control-M services provided by outsourced partners and software support vendors. Key Responsibilities; Control-M Delivery and Operations Maintain production, DR and non-production environment configurations in accordance to the established architectural framework Plan and implement on boarding new applications into Control-M platform. Regularly check and improve already integrated applications to ensure fault free work flow for batch provisioning and optimise to accommodate new requirements and interfaces. Establish and manage change processes on Control-M for new version upgrade and fixes. Provide consultancy and advisory services to other domains in Control-M services space. Attend to all issue and incidents raised against Control-M services and resolve in a timely manner by coordinating with relevant parties (external – Vendor, other supplier and internal – Other Domains) Manage day to day operations and oversee governance for Control-M services provided by outsourced partners and software support vendors. Key focus areas include: Establishing service level agreements for vendor/supplier support and implementing programs to achieve objectives. Monitoring suppliers’ support performance against service level agreements and presenting associated performance reports to Management. To work with suppliers and take proactive actions when the service levels are at risk of not being met. To work with suppliers and implement a continuous improvement and upgrade process for the services. Ensuring vendor agreements include measurable KPIs covering preventative maintenance and continuous improvement objectives (both commercial and operational) as well as availability and response related KPIs. Assisting in evaluating potential vendors or suppliers using criteria such as industry experience, benchmark, capacity, quality standards and best practice. Explaining company’s expectations and standards and negotiate service terms with vendors or suppliers. If necessary, also develop vendor or supplier induction programs and provide training to familiarize new vendors with the company’s business processes and quality systems. Assist in identifying and managing vendor service risks including but not limited to capacity, skills, reliability and sustainability. If vendors fail to reach their contractual requirements, they can pose a risk of disruption to the company’s operations. Audit Support Actively participate in Audit activities (external and internal) in providing information extracts, validation of information, identifying gaps and remediating them by working with all relevant parties (external – Vendor, other supplier and internal – Other Domains). Control-M Project Support Assess new demands in scheduling management and recommend the most appropriate, efficient and cost-effective solution. Assign appropriate resources to the projects and ensure that Control-M deliverables are completed on time. Support project manager technically and ensure Control-M processes are followed until services are handed over to operations Experience And Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline Advanced certification, knowledge and experience in a recognized ITSM framework e.g. ITIL Certification, knowledge and experience in Control-M framework. More than 5 years’ experience in Information Technology Strong understanding and experience of supporting Control-M Server, Enterprise Manager, agent with version 9 Experience in managing people directly or indirectly. Advanced, specialist level of competence/knowledge in Control-M products (MFT, Add on for Informatica, SAP, Cloudera, etc) Strong analytical skills coupled with superior communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent problem-solving abilities and able to resolve in shortest possible timing Knowledge of the strengths of Control-M utilities as well as hands on experience in Linux/Unix/Window scripting Vendor management experience ITIL knowledge Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization Implementation and management of Control-M Add on likes BIM, Control modules. Attention to detail in ensuring methodologies are followed/implemented Have a career whose hallmarks are innovation, strategy, development, and the ability to create and build enthusiasm for new concepts with a decided results orientation. Superior communication skills; capable of explaining to non-technical managers the implications of various technology-related initiatives/options. Experience working in a matrix environment with input from multiple avenues, would be highly desirable. Excellent influencing, leadership and facilitation skills, adaptive leadership style. Collaborative style with ability to organize and facilitate cross functional teams Able to accept a significant level of responsibility and accountability Good general understanding of IT technology, particularly in area of troubleshooting, API implementing, scripting in Unix/Linux/Wintel.
