Job Description

You will be at the forefront in building the next generation of systems that provide connectivity and access into Visa. The access systems are fundamental to the Visa Business and amongst only a handful of the most mission critical systems at Visa. You will deliver access solutions that fit into the wider efforts to re-engineer Visa's core processing systems. You need to have an excellent background in software analysis, design and implementation. You will join an outstanding and expanding team working on software development, engineering and L3 support. Nothing less than absolute success is required.

Primary Responsibilities

Work with a team of engineers for the development of the access services provided by the EA applications and systems.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure minimum to no disruption in the services in providing 24X7 Level 3 production support for the entire Extended Access service.
Diagnose and resolve complex problems in production to meet all Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Work closely with the Development team for analyzing, recommending and fixing production issues.
Take strong ownership of production issues from occurrence to resolution.
Co-ordinate tasks with careful scheduling and orchestration that involves a diverse range of Visa groups having conflicting priorities.
Work with project teams to identify and execute tasks associated with new projects. Provide estimates of effort for tasks associated with projects.
Work collaboratively across the Singapore and US staff ensuring high quality deliverables meeting all SLA's.
Interact closely with the QA and Development teams to ensure to meet all delivery schedules in defect free software.
Work on operating procedure improvement to increase efficiency wherever possible.
Provide training to external teams on new products and enhancements developed by the group.
Provide a comprehensive incident investigation and root cause analysis with simulation and testing of production issues.
Lead and take ownership of all documentation associated with new products, enhancements and patches.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is required. Post graduate degree a plus.
5+ years of experience in providing Level 3 production support for mission critical services and applications. Experience in the area of production financial systems is fundamental.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in providing Level 3 production support for mission critical services and applications. Experience in the area of production financial systems is fundamental.
An in-depth and broad background of UNIX operating systems including Linux is an absolute requirement.
5+ years of solid experience with UNIX based scripting languages such as Shell, python or Perl is essential.
A strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking technologies is essential together with an excellent ability to analyze and decode network traces.
Experience in analyzing detailed and diverse diagnostic data for rapid root cause analysis is required.
Experience should include effectively working with a diverse range of functions and groups including: Software Development, QA, Engineering and a range of Operational groups.
Experience in capacity planning and management of production environments, including load-testing exercises is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good documentation skills.
Flexibility, self-motivated, high work standards, attention to detail, ability to perform as an individual contributor or as a member or leader of a team.
Ability to work in a technical leadership role on multiple concurrent assignments with both technical and business staff.
Additional Information
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the evolving visa/travel restrictions in place, we are currently only able to extend offers to candidates with the right to work in Singapore. We are keeping the situation under close review and will adjust accordingly should the restrictive measures be lifted.

Work Hours The team provides support coverage from 7am to 11pm on a rotational basis including weekends and public holidays. Incumbent will need to possess a flexible approach to align with the schedule.

Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 5% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
