Responsibilities Sustaining and new product service engineering for Swift Division. Works in matrix organization coordinating with design engineering, manufacturing, LKS technical support, quality, marketing and field as the product(s) move through the Product Life Cycle. Will be technical specialist that fully coordinates and works directly with aforementioned teams to improve serviceability, reliability and implement service business practice improvements into product design. Works to optimize serviceability, reduce cost-of-service, and improve short and long term product service revenue performance. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle to ensure system level product performance is continuously tracked and meets established specification. Drives continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics and software, tooling, user documentation, knowledge management, and training Job Scope And Complexity Strong knowledge of overall system operation, system integration, and system calibrations. Act as a two way conduit of information between design teams, and tech support and service personnel. Full understanding of the need to protect our service IP, and apply BKMs into documentations, FRUs, Tooling, and training. Ensure that learning on current generation tools is captured and applied to next generation designs. Works with Learning and Knowledge Services (LKS) to define training requirements for new products and/or upgrades. Trains the trainer, and co-teach initial courses. Audits service training courses to ensure their quality. Help to define a plan, implement and optimize the spare parts that will be stocked to support field shipments. This includes taking into account reliability, diagnostics, inventory holding cost, training level and other factors. Qualifications Bachelor, MS or Ph.D in applied optics, electrical engineering, physics or related disciplines with at least 5 years of experience Experience with KLA Swift division products a plus Experience with KLA Phoenix handling systems a plus Excellent diagnostic skills with experience in supporting field escalation Extensive hands-on experience in building/testing optical inspection or metrology tools Strong diagnostic and trouble shooting skills in optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems Team player with good communication skills We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
