Job Description

Primary Objectives of this Job The Facilities Engineer shall be the Subject Matters Expert for Shared Utilities Operations and Maintenance includes Electricity Distribution, Steam and Chilled Water Generation and Supply. Compressed Air Supply With support from Utilities Associate Engineer , he/she will also be responsible for the daily operation of Shared Utilities Operation to provide continuous supply of Steam, Chilled Water, Compressed Air and Electricity Distribution to Takeda and Baxter Healthcare SA. Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in treating waste stream for Takeda and Baxter Healthcare SA. Clean Utilities and Heating Ventilation Air- Conditioning (HVAC) Operations to provide continuous supply of Water Deionize Cold (WDC), Water- For- Injection (WFI), Clean Steam (CS), Compressed Air, Gases and production and support rooms air conditioning to Takeda Manufacturing. Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance for the campus Shared Utilities (i.e. electricity distribution, steam and chilled water generation and supply; compressed air distribution to Takeda). Responsible for developing the require preventive, predictive and calibration program for Shared Utilities. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of corrective , preventive maintenance and calibration of Shared Utilities equipment , periodic inspection to ensure proper operation , and daily check/repairs in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure. Responsible for leading investigation for deviation raised in EUME and Trackwise in the areas of critical utilities Daily review and analyze shared utilities trends and identify issues and improvement opportunities proactively as part of the continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for overseeing the operation of Clean Utilities includes WDC, WFI, Clean steam, Compressed Air, Gases, production and support rooms air conditioning and WWTP. Responsible for the front line troubleshooting for clean utilities, HVAC and WWTP plant during equipment failure or operation issue that was escalated from Associate Engineer Develop / revise Shared Utilities system / equipment operation and maintenance procedure, risk assessment and equipment LOTO procedure. Develop/ revise clean utilities, WWTP, PCW and HVAC system/ equipment operation procedure, risk assessment and equipment LOTO procedure. Plan equipment isolation, LOTO and support Permit-to-Work issuance in operation area. Perform equipment operation check after maintenance / repair work prior to returning equipment back to operation (Return to Operation Activities). Provide technical support to Utilities Senior Associate / Associate Engineer as to carry out their duties. To support investigate, propose and initiate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) for equipment and process related issues based on root cause analysis. To maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the operation area under utilities responsibility. Develop Associate Engineer operation and maintenance task competency with support from System and Reliability Engineer. Lead continuous improvement or asset improvement projects in area of responsibility to ensure they are on schedule, within budget, complying to current regulatory and technical requirement. Lead or Support implementation of capital or improvement projects. Perform shutdown activities as directed by shutdown lead. Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements. Commitment to a fair and respectful relationship to others and behavior in accordance with Takeda’s Code of Conduct. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education And Experience Requirements An Engineering Degree or Diploma with 3-5 years of relevant experience in GMP Utilities Operation. Strong technical and safety knowledge and experience in Utilities or Facilities Management. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships between teams, departments and business units. Ability to organize, prioritize work in the face of shifting demands and tight deadlines. Continuous Improvement and Project experience. Steam Engineer Class 2. Good writing skills essential for investigations, reports and proposals. Key Skills and Competencies Strong leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills .
