Engineer (ANS Infrastructure and Network Architecture) at Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore

Job Description

We are seeking an esteemed engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary team that will be tasked to plan, design, integrate, transit, enhance and innovate the transmission infrastructure /backhaul for the next generation Air Navigational Systems.

You will be responsible for the project management and supervision of maintenance of our state-of-the-art mission-critical backhaul and transmission networks that support Air Navigational systems (e.g. Air Traffic Management Systems and Communications, Navigation Aid and Surveillance Systems). You will ensure the overall quality & integrity of the projects and maintain networks and its systems in accordance with international standards and best practices which include enhancements (i.e. software and/or hardware) of these networks.

You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including operational and technical users, consultants, functional managers, system owners, business owners, sponsors, auditors, agencies, regulators, partners, original equipment manufacturers, vendors and contractors, throughout entire system lifecycle from project initiation to system replacement.


Trained in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering and/or Engineering (Computing/ Telecommunication) or equivalent
Possess knowledge on implementation of transmission technologies and experience including MPLS, SDH, Ethernet and IP related technologies and/or familiarity in Outside Plant Engineering including design and routing of pipelines, manholes and lead-in to buildings
Understand and apply relevant policies from respective Code of Practices, guidelines and best practices (e.g. IMDA's COPIF, CSA's CCoP and Govtech's IM8) during implementation of projects
Experiences in Network Operational Centre/Security Operational Centre environment are preferred
Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, positive attitude and attention to details
Able to support scheduled and unscheduled works during maintenance window and provide timely response on-site when required.
Ability to travel for overseas meetings, conferences when needed

Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract in the first instance, subject to renewal.
