Job Description

The Infrastructure Manager provides oversight on project and operational governance framework within the IT Infrastructure team. He or she is responsible for managing project work and monitoring project progress across functional groups, ensuring the projects sustain a connection to the implementation methodology and the overall objectives. Projects encompass but not limited to infrastructure solutions such as Network & Firewalls, Data Centre server workloads, Exchange Server, Patch Management, Security implementation and etc., and the conduct of Disaster Recovery Exercises. A strong advocate for Change Management process, he or she is also expected to ensure that Change Management Procedures are followed. Major tasks and responsibilities shall include, but not limited to the following: Lead infrastructure design such as logical network design, server topology and environmental placement; performing infrastructure capacity; and establishing infrastructure security requirements. Plan, organize, consolidate project requirements & effort from various product or service owners and develop a project tracking plan Communicate with team members for achieving the defined outcomes aligned with the project objectives. Conduct governance meeting to validate and approve infrastructure solutions, change approval board to approve production changes and project meetings to track project objectives, timeline, budget and risks. Assume the role of Incident Manager to identify, initiate, schedule, monitor and manage all Major Incidents to ensure Service Level Agreements are respected. Responsible for planning and coordinating all activities required to prepare project dashboards, incidentsâ€™ root cause analysis, change approvals for stakeholdersâ€™ updates. Establish continuous process improvement cycles where the process performance, activities, roles and responsibilities, policies, procedures and supporting technology is reviewed and enhanced where applicable. Provide oversight in maintenance contracts and end-of-life status of IT hardware and software assets and trigger renewal or refresh if necessary. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and project team members in a matrixed environment. Job Requirements Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Professional qualifications such as ITIL, PMP, CCNA/P, MCSA/E, CISSP are advantages. 10 - 15 years of experience in the IT industry with good and diversified knowledge in IT infrastructure. Experience as a project manager or similar capacity overseeing infrastructure project delivery in areas that encompass but not limited to Data Center, Network, Servers and Security, with the ability to covert concepts and requirements into actionable and achievable activities. Someone who has spent an early part of the career as an Infrastructure Lead or Manager supporting End-User is an advantage. Must have led or participated as a key member in the conduct and documentation of a Disaster Recovery Exercise. Experience with managing a team is a key advantage as leadership quality is required of this role. Must have demonstrated experience in chairing and conducting meetings that include diversified technical experts and be able to lead an outcome. Must have demonstrated experience in designing & building infrastructure solution.
