Micron Singapore IT Team present an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join us in the journey to explore innovative technologies to run state of art, operationally efficient and secure datacenters. As part of the team, we will be responsible for developing and supporting Infrastructure for the critical manufacturing systems to ensure high availability for the applications and data by performing dedicated maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, root cause analysis, and remediation. As a System Engineer, you will handle the acquisition, installation, maintenance and administration of the core computing environment. You will be specializing in hardware and operating system support, user support, account and permission management, and the performance management, security, and tuning of systems. As a team we will provide IT infrastructure solution to our internal customers and project teams that exceed business requirements. Responsibilities Define, design and implement core computing system hardware and operating system solutions Work alongside with our team of forward-thinking Engineers in a complex, highly-secure, highly-available, operations-centric datacenter environments and interact with other technology teams, to build and maintain the Infrastructure for highly critical applications in those datacenter environments Ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron’s core computing resources Work with other Engineering disciplines to develop Reference Architectures and technology standards based on Infrastructure Building Blocks, that can be offered as services to Micron customers Continually work to improve operations and evolve the computing environment to meet future demands Lead hardware and software refresh projects with strong collaboration with other technical teams Direct the development and maintenance of technical documentation and align with server administration best practices Requirements Masters/Bachelors Degree with good honors in any Computer Science/Engineering discipline or an equivalent degree Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Passion to tackle business problems with application of technology Good communication and interpersonal skills with a problem-solving attitude Academic know-how or internship experiences in the Infrastructure domain of IT (Microsoft Windows 2016, 2012 and 2008R2 operating systems) Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMWare and Citrix Familiar with scripting languages will be added advantage Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix and Cisco will be an added advantage This role is open to fresh graduates too Show more
