Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive IT architecture and network infrastructure for the university Responsible for implementation, administration and security control of the network as well as performing daily system operations, regular maintenance/patching and upgrade. Provision of daily, weekly and monthly network reports on network availability and traffic utilization. To manage and configure network devices, such as DNS/DHCP, routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, traffic shaper and load-balancer in a multi routing infrastructure. Adherence to processes that improve operational effectiveness of the department, provide prompt and effective support to existing network systems. Required to conduct vendor negotiations and contracts/agreements administration, evaluate and recommend appropriate IT solutions/services to meet user’s requirements. Develop and manage project tender specifications documents, call tenders, conduct tender evaluations and prepare award recommendation Project Management to monitor project scope, project schedule and quality of deliverables. Prepare and maintain documentation and detailing configuration of deployed solutions. Provide guidance and supervision to Network Engineers and manage and to ensure excellence customer service. Requirements Degree in Computer Science or equivalent At least 3 years of experience in design, configuration, and management of IT network equipment – Routers / switches (Juniper/Alcatel/Cisco), firewall, packet shaping, load balancer in multi routing infrastructure. Technically competent in IP networking, LAN, WAN, Active Directory and Structured Cabling. This shall include knowledge on systems requiring high availability, fully redundant networks, corporate firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technology. Experience in Server administration (Windows/Linux) is an advantage Knowledge on cyber security with reference to network architecture and servers Certifications on MCSE/CCNA/CCNP/RHCE/ACFE (Alcatel-Lucent Field Engineer)/ACCP (Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional)/CISSP will be an advantage Interested please send your resum to: This email address is being protected from spambots.
