JOB TITLE: Network Engineer Work Location: Singapore PURPOSE: The Network Engineer implements, troubleshoots, analyzes, and maintains LAN/WAN networks. The Network Engineer sets up, configures and maintains Routers, Switches, and Firewalls; monitors network utilization and health; as well as interfaces with customers to set up, configure, and troubleshoot WAN and VPN connections. They help cover shift rotations and provide 24X7 on call support. Duties, Responsibilities, and Physical and Mental Demands: LAN/WLAN/WAN Maintenance -- Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WLAN/WAN equipment and related services Troubleshooting-Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems Documentation-Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks Technical Support - Provides 24X7 support within team rotation New Technology Research and Testing - Evaluates emerging technologies to meet Company needs Education and Experience Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelorâ€™s degree in related field (or 3 years of additional experience in lieu of degree) 1 years of relevant experience Preferred: Cisco Professional certification desirable 3 years of relevant experience Skills and Competencies: 5+ yearsâ€™ experience in a professional Network and IT Operations support role CCNP or Juniper JNCIA Level (Routing and Switching, Security, VOIP) Strong knowledge of network routing/switching (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, Subnets,Trunking, Link, aggregation, multi cast, other LAN protocols). Strong knowledge of VOIP technology and SIP protocol Experience in configuration and administration of routing and security protocols (BGP/iBGP/HRSP, OSPF, IPSec, MPLS, VPLS,SSL). AWS Cloud certifications - Associate or Professional AWS Cloud network design and architecture experience. DevOps/IT automation, including scripting, Chef/Puppet/Ansible. Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.) Strong understanding of AWS security and monitoring; experience implementing best practices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Problem resolution skills Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment Ability and flexibility to perform all other job-related and ad-hoc duties as required Highly Desirable: AWS and MS Azure Networking Familiarity with Cloud Formation and Terraform Network Qualifications Cisco - CCNP/CCDP or Juniper JNCIA Scripting languages â€“ Perl/Python Additional Skills of Benefit: Project Management Weâ€™re not a one-dimensional place to work.
