Network Engineer at Dairy Farm Group ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (a) Job Responsibilities § Ensuring smooth daily operations of the 'back-end’ IT systems including the network connectivity (LAN, WAN and Wireless). § Monitor, identify and resolve network issues. § Providing daily support including troubleshooting the 'back-end’ IT systems and equipment. § Establish and maintain up-to-date operating plans, procedures and processes for daily network operations. § Establish and maintain up-to-date user account administration and management for the 'back-end’ IT systems and equipment. § Establish and maintain up-to-date problem database to ensure accurate information for maintenance and troubleshooting. § Establish and maintain up-to-date IT equipment inventory list including its maintenance period coverage. § Establish and maintain up-to-date network architecture drawing and design. § Establish and maintain up-to-date backup process and procedures. § Carry out installation, configure and upgrade of hardware/software and firmware of networking equipment for optimal performance. § Carry out acceptance testing of installed/upgraded equipment. § Monitor and ensure compliance of the Service Level Agreement (SLA). § Engage vendor and other suppliers (including telecommunication vendors) for the supply of products and services and ensuring that the products and services are delivered according to plan or contract. § Involve in networking projects or business projects that includes networking. § Involve in audit requirements. § Carry out the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) including the execution of an IT Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for the organisation. § Carry out day-to-day tasks assigned to him/her in planning, deployment and operations of the network. § Provide relevant support to end-user team if requested for. (b) Qualifications § At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent § Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a networking environment. § Industry certification in networking is an added advantage. § Knowledge and experience in networking equipment such as CISCO Meraki, CISCO switches, routers and firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxy servers, Vulnerability Assessment Tools (Qualys), anti-virus solutions. § Experience in Cloud Technologies (eg Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure) is advantageous. § Good communication skills, as need to closely work with stakeholders, vendors and other IT Cross Functional Teams and Vendors. § Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills. § Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
