Job Description

Network Operation Center
Operate and maintain all active and passive network element on Submarine Cable System which include but not limited to Submarine Cable Networks (both Subsea and Land portion), Submarine Line Terminal Equipment (SLTE), Submarine Power Feed System (PFE) and associated AC/DC Power System.
Operate and maintain all active Local Loop Networks in Singapore which include but not limited to DWDM and local loop Optical cable networks connecting Cable Landing Station with various POPs.
Monitoring of health/alarms on all Network elements for Submarine Cable System and DWDM Networks via the respective network Monitoring Systems.
Perform first level troubleshooting on any alarm detected on both Submarine and Local Loop network devices installed in Cable Landing Station and POPs.
Handling customer fault complaints by issuance of trouble tickets and troubleshoot the network issue thoroughly, provide update and RFO (Report For Outage) to the customer in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Supplier/Vendor's Global Technical Support Centre in analyzing and investigation of software glitches and certain critical alarms detected. Devise the necessary processes and schedule to clear the problems systematically and professionally.
Carry out routine maintenance and checks on network equipment, AC/DC Power System and fiber cable installations at Cable Landing Stations and various POP locations.
Performing routine backup of the system/network configuration/records and customer database of the monitoring Systems installed in Cable Landing Station.
Upkeep of all circuit records, fiber pair patching and usage in the system.
Carry out routine patch cord and spare equipment inventory.
Perform OTDR test to identify fault location and check the performance of Local Fiber Cable Network.
Study and checking system capacity availability upon receipt of new service work order and carry out necessary check on the cross - connection requirement at the POPS before proceeding to carry out the installation, testing and commissioning of new circuits.
Performing acceptance testing and commissioning of the new circuit and submit the test report together with the circuit topology to the sale team for onward submission to customer.
Building Management & Miscellaneous duties
Assist in overseeing the facilities management of Singapore Cable Landing Station, including its data center, A/C & D/C electrical utilities, standby diesel generators, cooling systems, UPS, fire alarm systems and security access systems.
Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of the company's IT infrastructure
Assist in the compilation of data and information for monthly reports
Any other work or taskings as assigned by supervisor

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical or/and Electronics Engineering.
