Job Description

Lumen is looking for Hosting Backup and Storage Engineer for the APAC Region.

The Role (Position Objective/ Summary):

The Hosting Backup and Storage engineer is a specialist working as part of the Hosting Infrastructure and Operations teams. They will have either Backup or Storage as the primary skill and will be expected to become equally proficient in both. They will provide superior support to Lumen Clients across a diverse global backup and storage infrastructure. The Hosting Backup and Storage Engineer will ensure successful change management using ITIL process. They will troubleshoot complex Backup and Storage Incidents to provide maximum availability and optimal Mean-Time-To-Resolution

The Main Responsibilities:

· Providing superior support to Lumen Hosted Backup and Storage Infrastructure and its customers

· Proactively monitoring the different queues and working on Incidents and Change Requests based on ITIL process

· Will be engaged on different initiatives that will improve operations and infrastructure

· Will be collaborating with different internal teams to complete tasks at hand

· Will work on Problem Management

· Will be working during APAC hours from 8AM - 5PM and rotate to different working day patterns if needed

What We Look for in a Candidate:

· Relevant experience supporting and maintaining Brocade/Broadcom SAN Switches

· Relevant experience supporting and maintaining Clustered ONTAP or 7 Mode

· Relevant experience supporting and maintaining Enterprise SAN and NAS solutions

· Relevant experience supporting and maintaining Enterprise Backup solutions

· In-depth troubleshooting with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Experience using ticket management tools/systems.

· ITIL Accreditation or equivalent experience.

· Knowledge of platform technologies: Windows, Linux, ESX

Must have 2 of the following skills or experience for consideration

· HP 3Par - 7000, 8000 and 20000 series

· NetApp “ Clustered ONTAP / StorageGrid

· Veritas Netbackup 7.3-8.2/ Netbackup Appliances / Quantum Libraries

· Brocade/Broadcom SAN fabric technologies
