Reports to: Director – Director, Network Planning & Implementation 
No. of Direct Reports: None. However will be leading virtual teams, most often multi cultural and multi disciplinary teams 

The Network Implementation Project Manager provides best in class project management services to ensure delivery of quality network infrastructure to our customers ahead of schedule and under  budget without compromising on quality. 


Overall Role Purpose 
To manage the definition, planning and delivery of our client's core network infrastructure within scope, time and budget by providing professional project leadership, direction and control. 
The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering high levels of Colleague Satisfaction, by ensuring full technical, financial and business benefits are achieved in all aspects of Network 
Infrastructure projects 


Responsibilities 
Key Accountabilities 
• To use agreed our client's controlled and structured project management tools and procedures to deliver our client's core network infrastructure the delivers the 4 Values to our customers. 
• Delivery of network expansion and opex cost savings projects in line to ensure network opex budgets are met. 
• Financial Management during the project to ensure timely use of project budget. 


Typical Activities 
• Project definition, planning and implementation management of our client's network expansion within planned timescales and budget and work in virtual teams. 
• The management of colleagues’ expectation during the project lifecycle. 
• Obtaining the required resources from within and outside of our client to fulfil the project. 
• The successful handover of network upgrades to network operations. 
 
Performance Metrics 
• Achieve cost saving targets based on Network planning changes 
• Network Infrastructure implemented within planned timescales, quality, scope and budget. 
• Project management competency in upper quartile for the profession. 

Key Requirements - Education & proficiency Level Required 

Electronics/ Electrical engineering or Diploma 
Certification achieved in recognised project management methodology – PMI, QPMP or PRINCE 2 
MBA is desired 
Asian languages an advantage 


Key Skills and Experience 
The individual will need to have the following core skills and experience: 


Experience and Knowledge 
Should have 8 - 10 years of experience, out of which at least 5 years in managing telecom and Networking related complex global projects 
Ability to simplify complex solutions and present to senior management and business leaders 
Should be thorough with Networking and telecommunications concepts and components, product knowledge on Cisco, Ciena, Alcatel & Juniper. 
On the ground experience working with telecom service providers across Asia especially in delivery of network. 
Has up to date knowledge and awareness of telecom market, competitive scenario on service offerings in multiple geographies, specifically in Asia Pac. 
Proven experience in setting and monitoring performance against project milestones 
Good understanding of Voice, IP and data products, and capabilities 

Soft skills 
Strong leadership skills with the ability to create an effective project team. 
Proven skills in managing complex cross-functional projects 
Proven experience in interfacing with and developing supplier/colleague relationships 
Ability to structure and prioritise workloads around customer and project requirements 
Excellent written and verbal communication and Presentation skills 
Virtual Team management, including sub contractor management 


Core Deliverables 
Ability to identify, analyse project, our client's business risks and implement risk reduction plans 
Strong focus on delivery and attention to detail 
Setting up a project infrastructure, identifying, selecting and appointing skilled project resource to deliver the customer solution on time, quality and budget

Self starter with strong personal drive 
Proven skills in a customer facing environment and developing customer relationships
