Our european HQ client is involved in payment gateway solutions. They are currently looking for a Reigonal Technical Support Engineer as part of their regional expansion

Responsibilities:
Key Objectives
  • Provide 1st/2nd Line application, business process and batchsupport.
  • Be willing to work on a regular shift basis.
  • Root cause analysis of problems, including solution and recommendation.
  • Operational and support activity remediation analysis in conjunction with the global support team.
  • Building a procedure framework and enhancement of knowledge base.
  • Take ownership of issues through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate.
  • Pro-actively improve quality of systems and services, and increase business value.
  • Uphold / champion policies, procedures and standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Managesand tracksthe outstanding issues and liaises withthe client and support team for prompt execution and closurewithout micromanagement.
  • Frontsperiodic project updates and provides progress reportsto clients.
 
Technical REquirements
  • OS : Unix/ Linux/ Solaris
  • Database: Oracle 10g/ 11i
  • Scripting  - Shell
  • Languages:
           Oracle PLSQL + C ( Switch Core )
           Oracle PLSQL        ( Backoffice Core)
           Java                         ( Web Interface )  
  
Requirements:
  • Educated to at least Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Cards/Payments industry
  • Knowledge of either Card Management, Payment Management, Merchant Management, Loyalty, Chip Card or Settlement systems.
  • Working knowledge in:
 

  • Must be analytical, detail and systematic.
  1. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Have positive and a pro-active attitude to meet new challenges.
  3. Excellent problem solving skills with commitment through root cause analysis.
  4. Good analytical skills and experience in investigating business queries.
  5. Provides effective and accurate communication with clients at a reasonable business & technical language level.
  6. Production Support experience is an added advantage.
