We are seeking someone with a reasonable level of computer literacy, preferably a diploma with a qualification in a computer based course, although other relevant experience would be expected. Several years of IT experience would be helpful, ideally within the financial services sector.

Technical Ability
· Detailed understanding of TCP/IP inter-networking fundamentals, Microsoft 2000 & XP workstation/server/infrastructure and/or Solaris/Unix administration.
· Hands-on knowledge on Active Directory, DNS/WIN/DHCP, file/print services, ACL, registry modification, policy configuration, VB scripting, SMS package delivery and use of other desktop troubleshooting commands/tools would be essential.
· In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft products & Lotus Notes.
· Day-to-day first-line support directly to the users in terms of hardware/software problems/request.
· A technical knowledge that will allow them to install systems, upgrade and repair, install expansion cards and upgrade PC memory, and to show initiative in solving problems associated with PC.
· Knowledge in the real-time datafeed and trading applications such as Reuters, EBS and Bloomberg would be useful.

Business Exposure
· Exposure to direct user support and dealing room environment (about 200 users) so the candidate has an understanding of the demanding business environment within which they will be working.
· Exposure to global set-up within Asia Pacific (require the candidate to communicate with peers in other sites)

Candidates should possess
· The ability to deal with often difficult personalities within a stressful working environment.
· The ability to show initiative, to work without supervision and at odd hours.
· A strong but friendly personality.
· An understanding of the financial environment would be beneficial however a desire to learn is a pre requisite.
· Well-versed in oral/written communication in English.
