REPORT STRUCTURE

  • Reports directly to the GM IT and indirectly to the Enterprise Data Manager.
  • No subordinates

PURPOSE

  • This role is focused on the preservation, extension and creation of business value from the development, support and administration predominantly of the SAP Business Warehouse application along with other tools used in the pursuit of enterprise wide business intelligence outcomes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Before – Expertise for developing digital solutions

  • Extend the business value extracted from the existing services
  • Proactively identify opportunities to engage business partners regarding requirements gathering, report design, testing and deployment of reporting tools
  • Create and maintain documentation of technical solutions
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations

Beside – Supporting global manufacturing and sales

  • Preserve the business value of existing services
  • Understand business processes and outcomes pursued and enabled via the service
  • Pursue and implement strategies to maintain service continuity
  • Produce, implement and maintain data models and cubes to allow for seamless reporting from different SAP functions and non- SAP system
  • Monitor data loads, publication, quality and accuracy of periodical reports
  • Serve as subject matter expert for SAP BW and advise business on utilisation of standard content available
  • Administration of SAP BW platform which will include user administration, setting up security, platform maintenance
  • Ensure high user adoption for any new solution developed
  • Participate in Out of Hours support, when required
  • Lead, manage and advise other team members
  • Comply to corporate OHS&E policies

  • Solid understanding of leading and contemporary practices/capabilities in information management, data governance, reporting and analytics

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience working with SAP BW, SAP BW 7.5 data modelling and administration covering the end to end ETL process including extractors, InfoPackages, DTPs, transformations, DSOs, InfoCubes, MultiProviders, Process Chains, authorisations and security, SAP BW 7.x on HANA and associated data modelling concepts and objects including HANA views, Advanced DSOs, etc.
  • Development experience using SQL Server
  • Exposure to BW workspace, BW specific ABAP development (transformation routines, customer exits, BADIs, extractors)
  • Excellent understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, BEx Query Development, SAP Business Objects Analysis for Office, integration with Business Objects platform and BI content, Business Objects Data Services and Information Steward, SAP ECC
  • Experience in data visualisation tool, preferably Qlik Sense
  • Experience in Amazon Redshift
  • Experience in production support/BAU
  • Working knowledge of change control processes and impacts
  • Experience in delivering IT technical service and process in line with ITIL methodology
