- Plans and coordinates the functions, resources and activities of the Supply Chain including import/export, inventory planning and control, customer service and product distribution in order to ensure an optimally cost effective flow of material and a high level of customer service.
- In charge for inventory management and analysis to improve the capital efficiency on stocks and minimize risks of write-off of excess, expired and obsolete products. Responsible for forecasting, management of demand and supply, inventory management and allocations of products to meet requirements within the Asia-Pacific Region. Works closely as an integral part of the global supply chain in achieving inventory optimization for each product division
Key activities & Accountabilities
- Manages inventory planning and controls activities in the warehouse and in consignment.
- Coordinates and controls the different activities of customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in line with business strategies.
- Support sales requirements through the facilitation and control of the process of imports of goods from point of origin at distribution centres to the warehouse.
- Coordinates product distribution based on workable orders placed in the system.
- Manages the product warehousing, transportation and disposal according to Company quality standards.
- Coordinates the monthly forecasting process activities
- Acts as the primary contact with the distribution centre and the regional Demand Planning team.
- Collaborates with AP countries to support their sales plan.
- Manages product phase in/phase out and product rationalization.
- Updates revenue and non-revenue forecasts, analyzes forecast accuracy performances of the countries
- Analyzes weekly backorders of countries
- Expedites supplies upstream
- Rationalizes safety stock
- Allocates critical parts
- Manages replenishment signals of countries to achieve inventory optimization
- Sets planning parameters
- Engages in global planning activities
- Excess, expired & obsolete inventory management
- Reviews excesses of countries, authorizes returns and redeploys inventory to other satellites.
- Identifies expired or obsolete products for write-off
- Carries out demand and supply planning analysis based on sales forecasts from sales and marketing.
- Reviews statistical data on all aspects of planning and advises management of inventory plan issues.
- Manages and directs actual delivery against schedules and. Takes action to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to plans
- Maintains stock records and electronically manages minimum and maximum inventory levels. Reports on outstanding stock balances or shortages of product. Manages weekly replenishment process.
- Controls and manages excess, expired and obsolete products to minimize the risk of write-offs.
- Generates inventory analysis reports as per schedule
- Works together with warehouse personnel to ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
Requirement
- Experience in sales order management
- Regional sales experience in Asia Pacific region, including managing sales teams and key regional accounts
- Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Understanding the language of business practices, logistics, transportation & warehousing terminology.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
