Responsibilities

• Assessment and audit of existing and proposed suppliersquality capabilities and manufacturing and quality systems
• Qualification, probation, and disqualification of suppliers from a quality perspective
• Measure and analyze supplier performance in terms of quality, engineering and on-time delivery
• Create and monitor supplier quality improvement plans
• Lead the Evaluation Plan Process for new or changing components, parts
• Drive the containment, corrective and preventives actions to solve the technical quality issues
• Lead the investigation, root cause analysis and resolution of supply quality issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and into supplier quality processes
• Manage incoming inspection processes, MRB inventory and component, part quarantine area
• Responsible for the liaison to the customer on quality issues that have affected the plant, such as fit, form and function
• Responsible for implementing containment and corrective actions to rectify the customer's problem
• Communicate results and recommendations relating to quality within the organization
• Participate on new product development / introduction projects
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to processes and procedures supporting the quality role and responsibilities
• Assist in the Procurement Area

Requirements

• At least Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in similar capacity as a Quality Engineer
• Have an understanding of quality and problem solving tools and techniques such as, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, SPC, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), etc.
• Good computer literacy and software expertise is essential
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, presentation skills and has an excellent statistical analysis ability
