Equipment Testing Manager (Semiconductor)

Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory list of company owned test equipments, such as testers, handler and change kits etc. Optimization the usage of the current hardware to achieve cost reduction.
  • Evaluate, select and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of products.  
  • Engage in setups, conversion and troubleshooting and repairing of testers and handlers.
  • In charge of equipment maintenance activities, schedule PM/Calibration for Company-owned equipment.
  • Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.  
  • Study equipment performance and reliability. Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Design of handler change-kit & porting solutions from one handler type to another.
  • Working with suppliers to develop handler capability to support different packages.
  • Support development of Handler Interface, loadboards etc.
  • Working with suppliers to develop new socket/contactor solutions & evaluation.
  • Development of probecards, prober solution for small pitch bond pad device.
  • Respond to daily equipment trouble and assist in troubleshooting, evaluation and trouble reporting.
  • Liaise with US counterpart in Austin for strategic discussions and decisions on tester platforms, handler and prober.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years hand on experience in semiconductor test equipment management and test process improvement project.

    Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of pick & place handler & gravity feed handler.
  • Knowledge of prober application and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of lead scanner.
  • Knowledge of CAD software.
  • Knowledge in change kit mechanical design.
Experience in at least one of below areas is a must:
  • ATE tester maintenance, PM & Calibration.
  • Handler maintenance, change over and service.
  • Prober maintenance and application, such as calibration and setup device parameter file.
  • Development of change kit, socket & probe card.

 



  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enable effective communication to associates at all levels.
  • Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations and make sound decisions independently.
