Our client , a US semicon organisation is relocating their US operations to Singapore and Singapore will be the Global HQ. As a s result of this move, they have a need for 5 regional application engineers.  The engineers are required to travel up to 30% within Asia Pacific on work.

The Regional Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing pre-sales and some post-sales technical support to the company's sales staff and customers such as product capability assessment and validation. Provides, presents, and interprets design, application, and service information in a variety of situations, including complex requirements and negotiation. Develop product specifications and applications usable by a specific customer and explores the business feasibility of general marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development, debug, qualification, yield enhancement and throughput optimization of device programs

Ensure the delivery and maintenance of completed programs and technical information in a timely manner

Report on issues and requirements of applications systems and offers quality recommendations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering

2-3 years of relevant working experience

Strong Knowledge in digital and analog testing

Familiar with semiconductor testing process, design verification, wafer testing or automatic testing equipment

Experience with testing of multimedia, automobile, power or RF device

Possess programming skills in C, C++, java and experience in Linux and Windows platforms

Prior experience on scripting languages, Perl, Python and XML desirable

Preferred Skills & Experience

Must be independent, analytical and applies logic in trouble shooting

Effective communication skills required ensuring highest level of customer satisfaction

Very organized and detailed

Motivated and possess the composure to work under pressure and meeting deadlines

Customer-oriented with ability to lead or drive application projects

Able to travel at short notice
