SH Engineers have the opportunity to work with new technologies and state-of-the-art equipment supporting a major software corporation within an enterprise class data center.

SH Engineers are the hands on support performing tasks such as hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, server imaging, deployment, configuration, rebuild and decommissions. Technicians perform routine and emergency requests through service request tickets as a member of a service team supporting 24x7x365 on-site coverage.

This position includes customer interaction that requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional technical capabilities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform tasks as assigned with minimal supervision
• Perform tasks within a collaborative team environment
• Provide troubleshooting support for servers, infrastructure and network device
• Install/upgrade/replace/remove servers, device or network components
• Perform server administrative tasks and maintenance
• Perform network cable installation and removal
• Perform rack maintenance
• Perform server OS and application imaging/installation
• Verify, reserve and provision network resources
• Perform system firmware and ROM maintenance
• Perform tape backup maintenance

Job Requirements

• 1-2 yearsexperience within data centers or related IT fields
• In-depth experience with troubleshooting and installing Windows operating systems, networking equipment and software
• in-depth experience troubleshooting HP Proliant servers and server components such as motherboards, array controllers and network cards, processors, memory and SCSI
• 1-2 yearsexperience supporting, administrating and or troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server platforms (2003/2008)
• 1-2 yearsexperience performing network connectivity technology including TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP and DNS
• Experienced supporting RAID technology
• Experience/Understanding of ticket management software
• Flexibility to support shift coverage including overnight support shifts
• Able to lift devices weighing over 50 lbs
• Server+, Network+, A+, MCP towards 2008 MCSE certifications desired
