Our client a global software organisation is builidng up Singapore as a software development and support centre. As part of the expansion , they are looking to hire 6 people including 1 Project Team Lead (Scrum Master), 1 QA Engineer and 4 developers

The QA Engineer role for Scrum Teams provides feedback on the products and make sure that there is continuous development, efficiency and effectiveness of the service and product. He organizes that test activities performed as a team and makes sure the team develops, publishes, and implements planned tests for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software and documents test results.
Furthermore, this role identifies and addresses various problems in the products and improvement of various procedures and outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze system requirements; determine appropriate procedures for testing applications and modify procedures as required to accomplish objectives; develop test cases.
Organize and conduct Sprint level test plan execution, making sure that Verification, Functional and Regression testing are performed by the Scrum Team members to ensure applications are reliable, no blocking or critical defect and function as documented at the end of the Sprint.
Assure QA testing results are documented and provide recommendations for product improvement.
Provide details regarding the QA test results to product development teams, developers, business analysts, and other members of the Development Team.
During Retrospective sessions, provides input to the development of software quality assurance procedures and process to efficiently test and evaluate products.
Assist senior team members with more complex testing to gain exposure to a variety of software development issues.
Provide accurate and regular reports on testing status of assigned products; detect potential delays in an assigned task at an early stage and report to Team Lead or Scrum Master.
Learn new technologies, techniques, processes etc. in order to contribute to the ongoing advancement of the product and to help maximize the QA team’s ability to deliver high quality products.
Perform other duties as required to deliver exceptional service to support the business goals of the company.

Knowledge and Experience:

2 to 5 years experience in Q.A
Sounds knowledge on software testing life cycle and professional testing practices.
A clear understanding of the Test First principles and of Agile testing methodologies is a clear plus.
Working experience with manual testing: Create tests, design tests, execute tests, manage test execution, create test report
Testing exposure to Java Application and Frameworks
A development experience and a technical background is a strong plus.
Working knowledge with different testing methodologies: blackbox, regression, functional, exploratory,…
Working knowledge with non-functional testing methodologies: volume, load, stress,…
Working experience with any automation tool: Create tests scripts on an automation framework or Quicktest Professional, execute tests and validate results, update test scripts and manage data set
