You will be responsible to carry out firmware qualification activities in an R&D team for new/maintained Industrial Controller and I/O products utilizing product domain knowledge and sound engineering practices. You will adhere to company and department guidelines for testing processes and documentation.

Scope of Work Activities:

• Grow Sound Practices and Processes in carrying out Firmware qualification testing activities.
• Create Test Plan and Test Cases for a product based on Functional Requirement Specification.
• Review, criticize and Map Product Functional Requirement Specifications to Test Plan, Test Requirements and Test Cases.
• Setup Test Bed and Execute Test Cases
• Automate functional/stress/performance test using scripts.
• Investigate anomaly and Carry out Anomaly Tracking and Reporting for Projects
• Define Regression test plan and Perform Regression Testing
• Optimize and Improve Testing Strategies, Methodologies, Effectiveness and Execution Efficiencies

Requirements:

• Degree/Master in Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Communications/Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum 3 years Experience in Firmware/Software Development and Testing
• Good understanding in Software Development Life Cycle and Testing Methodologies
• Knowledge and Experience with testing products in small and large networked environment using Serial (CAN bus) and Ethernet is highly desirable.
• Experience in firmware development is preferred
• Experience in Programming with Scripting Language like Python
• Experience in Testing Real Time Embedded Hardware/Software Systems
• Experience with Defect Tracking and Management tools, like ClearQuest
• Experience in PLC Programming and Applications is preferred.
• Experience in Device Driver development and testing is a plus
• Experience in automation control products and software is a plus
• Possess Good communication skills.
• Possess the ability to work in a team and independently,
• Passionate, proactive and possesses strong drive to achieve results.
