As an Application Support Engineer, your role will be vital in building credibility and trust with customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • First point of contact for all support incidents / requests.
  • Identify / isolate incident cause, problem identification and perform timely escalation of incidents.
  • Incident / problem ticket prioritization, impact analysis, tracking, updating and troubleshooting to resolution within service level timeframes.
  • Change request ticket prioritization, impact analysis, tracking, updating and fulfilment within service level timeframes.
  • Onsite preventive / corrective maintenance and support tasks.
  • Planning, testing, packaging, support and execution of release deployment activities / configuration changes.
  • Generate incident statistics, root cause analysis, service level and ad-hoc reports.
  • Create / maintain accurate knowledge articles, technical / operational documents and configuration records.
  • Housekeep and maintain technical support infrastructure / environment.
  • Rotational 24x7 standby support. Remote / onsite support is required for critical incidents.
  • Notify stakeholders of critical support incidents / issues, scheduled maintenance windows and risks to systems / operations.
  • Technical handover activities (knowledge articles, documentation, etc.) from projects to Service Delivery Organisation.
  • Any other duties assigned.


  • Singaporean / Singapore Permanent Resident preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 3 years experience in an applications support environment.
  • Team player with strong ability to diagnose and solve complex issues.
  • Ability to learn and master new application software systems running on Java or .NET platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Databases (e.g. Oracle PL, MSSQL, …)
  • Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux/Unix OS platforms, including OS command and shell scripting experience (e.g. Powershell, bash, etc.) is an added advantage.
  • 1-2 years experience in IT security and / or Identity & Access Management software. (good to have)
  • 2-3 years experience in Microsoft Exchange technical support. (good to have)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange installations and preventive maintenance (good to have)
  • Working knowledge of basic network configuration and concept
  • Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Hardware and Software, MS Exchange
