Solutions Architect (Presales virtualisation, server, storage

Our client is a value added Storage, Servers, Virtualisation solutions distributor. Roles requires Solution Architecturing consultancy support to both SI partners and enterprise customers

Responsibilities:

. Work with the Services Sales Manager to identify customer projects and services opportunities potentially to include company’s product line cards especially in IT infrastructure solutions

. Be the primary contact for services pre-sales activities

. Provide consultancy in infrastructure solutions design and articulate customers’ business and technical objectives

. Architect and demonstrate technical solutions using the latest IT technologies that can fulfill customers’ business requirements

. Develop credibility with the customers’ technical and key executives

. Proactively stay abreast of current IT Infrastructure solutions and their potential applicability with customer engagements

Requirements:

. Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 4 years of technical related experience, preferably as a Solutions Consultant

. Strong business and technical understanding of IT and infrastructure solutions

. Knowledge of the following technologies is a must:

1. Virtualization Technologies (Server Hypervisor, Storage Virtualization)

2. Server Technologies (Wintel, Linux and Unix)

3. Storage Technologies (EMC, IBM, NetApp)

. Expert level of hands-on expertise and knowledge on at least one or more main Operating systems and major hardware platforms

. Knowledge of the industry disciplines, technologies and applications relevant to networking infrastructure and security is an advantage

. Experience working with customers, sales personnel and/or customer services is an advantage

. Valid certifications in specific domain of expertise is an advantage

. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
