Regional Presale Consultant (voice /IPTel solutions)
• Provide sales support to Account Teams in Singapore and Asia
• Providing LAN/WAN inter-networking, voice, security and contact centre design, professional services and managed services in Asia-Pacific.
• The role will involve pre-sales activities and may also involve certain post-sales activities in support of the implementation.
• The position will be required to work as part of the Asia team, which may require close liaison with teams based in Japan, Europe and the USA.
2. Main Responsibilities
• provide detailed data, voice and security network solutions to customers
• exposure to selling solutions in areas of networking, contact centres, and outsourcing.
• Scope the customer equipment to be utilised, services to be provided, documentation and consultancy to the customer on the solution and price for the solution. These designs may largely be using our client's standard products and services, or may be fully customised with 3rd party equipment for a customer’s specific requirements
• Develop close working relationships with target customers working with Account team, Implementation, Customer Service and Network Operations staff.
• Provide network design support and documentation for handover to Operation & Service Management.
• Build professional relationships with other local, regional and global representatives with org, Regional Business Units and suppliers as necessary.
• Maintain and develop own professional and technical skills as applicable.
• Travel within the Asia and elsewhere on occasion is a pre-requisite of this position, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
3. Qualifications
• You are likely to possess a Degree in an Electrical Engineering; Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Sciences or IT disciplines.
• Should have been working in the SI or telecoms industry for 6-8 years
• CCIE Certified
• Other Industry certifications in fields of networking (AVAYA,CISSP, Juniper)
• Solid track record of complex solution selling into the Enterprise sector.
4. Skills and Competencies
He will be dealing with senior management and personnel from customers, regional service providers and suppliers, and hence must
possess -
• Ability to plan, organise, co-ordinate, control work, have a structured approach and a “can do” attitude to problem solving.
• Able to adaptable, highly self-motivated, demonstrate initiatives, result-orientated and have a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Should possess excellent inter-personal communication, presentation and business writing skills.
